We drove home from Oakland back to San Diego today. I often want to see people on the drive back, but today I just wanted to get home.  I think the fact that we all have been a little under the weather is part of the reason we didn’t want to.  We even avoided driving to Tahoe for the same reason.

The drive was fairly uneventful and I even was able to get a little bit of work done, which was most helpful.  We arrived home and the boys were overjoyed to have their toys and to be able to sleep in their own beds. Me too. I’m tired and wanna go to bed.

That line always makes me think of Lou Monte and a record I grew up with….
